The foundation of SWAM traces back to 2006, when members of Indonesian Society for Aesthetic Medicine (PERDESTI) were inspired to create a national scientific event focused on aesthetics. The first-ever seminar was held in Surabaya, attended by only 200 doctors. Encouraged by its success, the following year, PERDESTI expanded the event into a larger symposium in Jakarta, hosted at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, drawing over 400 medical professionals.
2010 - SWAM officially became the "Seminar and Workshop in Aesthetic Medicine", evolving into a comprehensive platform with symposiums, hands-on workshops, live demonstrations, and exhibitions. Gaining international recognition, SWAM drew over 2,000 doctors and 3,000 participants, supported by 100+ sponsors, cementing its status as Indonesia's leading aesthetic medicine event.
